Registration for the 33rd National Doughnut Week is now open! Bakers, cafes, bistros, delicatessens, coffee shops, and small businesses across the UK are invited to join in the fun and showcase their doughnut-making skills and creativity.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to doughnut creations for 2025 – from traditional jam doughnuts to decadent and innovative flavours, businesses are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild and experiment with lots of different flavours and fillings. Sales from the week helps to raise vital funds for The Children’s Trust.
Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness. The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury; delivering rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families.
James Dedman, CSM Ingredients General Manager UK & Ireland, said:
“Bakers, cafes, delis and restaurants, big and small across the UK dough-nut forget to register to take part in National Doughnut Week. It raises important funds for The Children’s Trust and participants get to showcase their creativity and imagination. Registration is easy to do via the National Doughnut Week website and there’s lots of hints and tips and resources available to help generate sales and make the most of the week. There’s also an easy-to-use online bakery finder so visitors to the site can quickly locate their local participating baker.”
The charity week, sponsored by CSM Ingredients, was launched in 1992 by Christopher Freeman, co-owner of Dunns Bakery. Since then, he has gone to raise £1,143,546 in total.
Michelle Martin, Director of Fundraising and Communications at The Children’s Trust, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to be chosen as the charity to benefit from National Doughnut Week. These vital funds enable us to help children with brain injury restore lost skills or develop new ways of doing things, all the time supporting the family transition home and plan for the future.”
All administration costs for the week are covered by the sponsors.
